The VIAVI (formerly JDSU) FI-60 Live Fiber Identifier features the ability to detect optical signal without disrupting the fiber network. It is compatible with multiple cable diameters – 250µm to 3mm jacketed fibers and can detect tones of 270Hz, 330Hz, 1kHz, and 2kHz. The tester doubles as an optical power meter by simply removing the LFI head attachment and connecting an adapter. This two-in-one device will prevent damage to the network by utilizing the SafeChek easy-pull trigger system. The tester can cover wavelengths between 780 to 1800nm and measure power within a range of -65 to +10 dBm with a maximum of +23 dBm and a +/- 5% uncertainty. It stores data which can be downloaded to a PC via USB and can interface with FiberChek2 for testing and reporting.
