Auto-Wavelength Recognition
The FLS-300 or FOT-300 units can transmit with a wavelength-identification digital encrypted protocol, enabling the FPM-300 Power Meter to use the proper calibration parameters automatically. This feature reduces the need for communication between the two technicians and decreases the potential for error.
Distant Referencing
Signal encrypting can also give the receiving end information on the power to be used as reference, helping ensure efficient referencing, even when the two units are far apart.
No Offset Nulling
Thanks to its unique design, the FPM-300 Power Meter reduces measurement time in typical measurement situations, as the need for offset nulling is eliminated.
FTTx Ready
EXFOï¾’s FPM-300 allows for the testing of passive optical networks (PONs) at 1310 nm, 1490 nm and 1550 nm, the three wavelengths recommended by the ITU-T (G.983.3) for PONs.

Most new items are covered by a 1-year fault warranty. If your item arrives damaged or becomes faulty within one year of the purchase date, you may contact us for a refund, exchange, or repair.
Important Warranty Notes
- The 30-day and 1-year warranties only cover faults in the product and do not apply to:
- Change-of-mind returns.
- Faults caused by misuse, operation outside the manufacturer’s guidelines, physical damage, or water ingress.
- Mechanical devices may require periodic servicing due to environmental factors or excessive usage. Such servicing is not covered under warranty and will incur standard service charges.
- Due to the unique nature of second-hand equipment, certain items may be exempt from the standard 30-day warranty. Please refer to the warranty details listed with the product description for specific coverage.
